Case 1: CXR Q pre-op abnormality

Q:  Why might there have been pre-operative abnormality on the CXR?

A:  The CXR shows bibasal atelectasis, which is likely to relate to abdominal distention, pain and reduced mobility, given he has presented with peritonitis due to perforated jejunum.
